The latest poll from NBC News/Survey Monkey shows Donald Trump as the solid frontrunner with 28 percent support, while support for Ben Carson has fallen.
Trump and Carson were tied last month, at 26 percent. The new poll shows that Trump’s support has gone up to 28 percent among Republican and independent voters who lean Republican. Meanwhile, Carson is now tied with
Carson still leads among white evangelicals with 25 percent. But his hold on the group has slipped eight points since last month. Trump who is at 23 percent among white evangelicals and Cruz who is at 22 percent have chipped away at Carson’s advantage among the group.
When it comes to Democrats, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leads with 49 percent, followed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who has 33 percent.
The poll was conducted online from November 15-17 among 5,755 adults over 18 years old age. The sample included 2,440 Republican voters and independent voters who lean Republican and 1,983 Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters. The poll has a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
